2026 Humanities and Social Sciences Academic Week (Changsha Session) Concludes with Great Success

2026 Humanities and Social Sciences Academic Week (Changsha Session) came to a successful close on August 21, 2026, after five days of vibrant academic exchange and interdisciplinary dialogue. Held in Changsha, China, from August 17 to 21, the event brought together scholars, researchers, and practitioners from across the globe to explore cutting-edge issues at the intersection of the humanities, social sciences, and emerging technologies.
The Academic Week featured four parallel conferences — ICAEM 2026 (3rd Edition), MHEHD 2026, ICPAHD 2026, and EKI 2026 — jointly organized with the generous support of Hohai University, Universidad de Alcalá, Xiamen University of Technology, Sichuan Technology and Business University, and Beijing Institute of Economics and Management.

Over the course of the event, nine distinguished keynote speakers — six on-site and three online — delivered inspiring presentations that spanned a wide range of topics, from artificial intelligence in education and psychological intervention to cultural heritage preservation and creative pedagogy.

Oral Presentations: A Diverse Showcase of Emerging Research
The Academic Week also featured a robust oral presentation program. On August 20, 38 on-site presenters delivered their research findings across morning and afternoon sessions, covering topics in the arts, education, management, design, psychology, and technology-enhanced learning. **8 additional online presenters joined remotely, contributing their work on policy governance, AI-assisted education, supply chain management, and computational linguistics.
In total, 46 oral presentations were delivered, offering a rich tapestry of interdisciplinary inquiry and scholarly rigor. Topics ranged from heritage conservation and music education to human-computer interaction, urban design, and mental health interventions.
